Makes about 1 ½ quarts
Ingredients
- 5-6 lemons
- ½ cup sumac infused maple syrup
- 5 cups cold water
Instructions
Halve and juice the lemons until you have 1 cup of juice. You can roll the lemons on a counter with the palm of your hand before cutting them to help release their juices. Strain off any seeds.
Combine the fresh lemon juice, sumac infused maple syrup, and water in a pitcher. Stir well to combine. Taste and add more syrup or water to suit your taste.
Serve the lemonade over ice and garnish with lemon slices.
Variations:
Bubbly: Prepare the lemonade with your choice of bubbly water for a fizzy lemonade.
Cocktail: Add 1 1/2 ounces of vodka to each glass of lemonade.
