October Fall Woods Walk
October 4th at 12:00
Join Bob Baird and Jacob Powsner expert sugarmakers from Baird Farm on our Annual Woods Walk. This tour is a special, once-a-year tour that offers a slightly different experience from our regular farm tours. This unique walk leads guests through the backwoods to an old, abandoned sugarhouse that was once used in days past. Led by both Jacob and Bob —bridging the younger and older generations—the tour leans more into the history of our sugaring operation. It’s also a more scenic route, giving visitors a deeper look at both the landscape and the stories rooted in it. The walk will be followed by a brief walkthrough of our modern day sugarhouse, a tasting, and time for purchasing of syrup in our farm store.
Important info: Please arrive at least 10 minutes before noon so we can depart from the sugarhouse as a group at 12:00 No pets, as much as we love furry friends we will not be allowing pets to attend this tour. We recommend good walking shoes! Rain or Shine! (unless weather is severe) So bring raincoat or umbrellas if needed. This tour is free! Bring your mapley questions! ;) .
