Cinnamon French Toast
Serves 4
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 8 slices thickly sliced bread, such as brioche
- Baird Farm maple syrup, for serving
- Fresh berries, for serving
- In a shallow dish, beat the eggs with the milk, vanilla, and cinnamon until combined.
- Preheat a large skillet over medium heat with enough butter to coat the bottom.
- Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture on both sides for a couple of seconds then add the soaked bread slices to the hot skillet. You’ll likely want to do this in two or more batches depending on the size of your pan.
- Cook the French toast until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Adjust the heat as needed, and add more butter to the skillet as necessary.
- Serve warm, topped with maple syrup and berries.
